I try to incorporate wood tones, neutral colors to bring balance to the texture and colors that are also incorporated.
I don’t normally start with a coffee table, unless I see one that I love and want to start building my space from specific piece. It is common to find a Paint Color, Couch, Chair, or piece of art you LOVE and want to build a space off that element. It Isn’t always easy to build off a piece you love, but we find that it make and breaks a space!

Let me acknowledge that coffee tables are a hard element to incorporate! Not only is it functional, it also need to be size proportionate and an ending to the space. Coffee tables are to be both functional and beautiful….. There is that combination again! Functional & Beautiful can be hard to marry. Do you need an actual table for books and flowers, remotes and decor? Or do you need some place comfy to plop your feet up after a long day, a child play ground that is soft and not breakable, or maybe both a table and an ottoman. We like the beauty of a coffee table with the functionality of an ottoman. BALANCE. Wood is not soft and fluffy like an ottoman but can be beautiful and functional for a space with children.
