DIY Fluted Table
I didn’t want to spend 334.00 on a fluted table!
So I decided to make it for less then $100.00!
I took 1/2 Wooden dowels and a 10” form tube & black marble cutting board ( saves you money then finding a slab and cutting it )to create a fluted side table with Marble top. Saving my self from purchasing the table for $300+ some were $500!
10’ Form Tube | Liquid Nail Adhesive
I cut the form to desired size ( with a circular saw) I made it slightly shorter then my couch and then cut the wooden dowels down to the same size and bonding (liquid Nail) it to the form. Make sure that when placing the dowels they stay straight, once they are all placed I ran rope around top, bottom & middle.
While it is drying, Mix water & Acrylic Paint together to make the desired beige wash for the yellow wood. It should be about 1:1 ratio of Paint to water. This is the color I came up with it is mostly the white color with a small amount of dark brown gold and a little black.
By mixing water with the paint it becomes more of a stain/ wash it leaves wood grain with out looking like I actually “painted it”
Once dry you can secure the top. I left mine unattached so if i wanted to change the top I could.
